Anyone can turn a page with their finger, but wouldn’t it be way more fun to do it with dominos knocking into a ball...that turns on a hair dryer...that blows a hammer...on a string that taps a board...that triggers a catapult...that launches a ball... that hits a piece of rubber hanging over the page...that turns the page? In this program, you will explore engineering concepts and learn how engineers solve problems. Together we will investigate how things roll, fly, slide, and collide, while we utilize gravity, levers, pulleys, magnets, and more. During the program you will make some creative machines of our own, including a marble run and a Rube Goldberg machine. You will gain basic understandings of force, trajectory, magnetism, and motion. This program includes visits to science center exhibits.
