Did you know that an asteroid can measure just a few feet across—or hundreds of miles long?  In this program, you will journey through our Solar System to explore the asteroid belt and investigate specific asteroids. Together, we will figure out as much as we can about their surfaces and the challenges of landing on them. During the program you will apply what you learn about asteroids to design and build a rover and landing gear to explore an asteroid of your choosing. You will gain new knowledge of our Solar System and a good understanding of the engineering design process. This program includes visits to science center exhibits.
